Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 2/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred just to the west of Tasmania will move slowly eastwards during Monday and Tuesday and will be centred over the Tasman Sea on Wednesday. A low pressure trough will develop over the Bight on Tuesday and will approach western Victoria on Wednesday. The trough will weaken as it enters the State on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers over the east contracting to East Gippsland this evening. Fine and generally clear elsewhere. Generally light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Monday 3 OctoberLocal morning fog and frost. Isolated showers over east Gippsland but fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Cool to mild with generally light winds.Tuesday 4 OctoberLocal morning fog and frost. Isolated drizzle over far east Gippsland clearing during the morning otherwise a fine and mostly sunny day. Some light patchy rain reaching the far northwest at night. Mild with light winds in the east and afternoon coastal seabreezes. Moderate northerly winds developing elsewhere.Wednesday 5 OctoberEarly fog in Gippsland. Cloud increasing with patchy rain over western districts extending to central districts late in the day. Mild with moderate to locally fresh north to northeasterly winds but seabreezes developing along the Gippsland coastThursday 6 OctoberIsolated showers mainly about the ranges and over the northwest. Generally mild with light to moderate north to northeasterly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Monday.Product IDV10310
