MELBOURNE - Sep 28/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
For tonight and Thursday: WARNING SUMMARY: A Severe Weather Warning is current. Gale Warning for the Far West and West Coasts, Spencer Gulf south of Cowell to Wallaroo and the South Central Coast west of Kangaroo Island. A Strong Wind Warning is current for the remainder of coastal waters. Sheep Graziers Advice for the Western Agricultural, Northern Agricultural and Central districts. SOUTH AUSTRALIA: Isolated showers and thunderstorms over the Northwest Pastoral District south of about Coober Pedy and the entire Northeast Pastoral District, contracting east and clearing this evening. Scattered showers and thunderstorms over the agricultural area this evening. Thunderstorms contracting to the South East by Thursday morning and clearing by the early afternoon. Showers becoming isolated and contracting to the southern agricultural area by Thursday evening. A cooler, fresh to strong and squally west to southwesterly change extending through eastern districts this evening, possibly reaching gale force about the West Coast. Winds easing in the west and north of the State overnight and moderating in the southeast later Thursday afternoon. Areas of raised dust inland this evening.
