MELBOURNE - Sep 27/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
For the rest of today and Thursday: WARNING SUMMARY: A Severe Weather Warning is current. Gale Warning for the Far West and West Coasts, Spencer Gulf south of Cowell to Wallaroo and the South Central Coast west of Kangaroo Island. A Strong Wind Warning is current for the remainder of coastal waters. Sheep Graziers Advice for the Western Agricultural, Northern Agricultural and Central districts. SOUTH AUSTRALIA: Isolated showers and thunderstorms northwest of Woomera, though fine in the far northwest. Scattered showers and thunderstorms elsewhere, contracting to the agricultural area and far east of the Pastoral districts this evening. Thunderstorms clearing from the southeast Thursday morning and showers becoming isolated and contracting to the southern agricultural area by Thursday evening. Warm to hot in the northeast with fresh and gusty northerly winds, ahead of a cooler, fresh to strong and squally west to southwest change, extending into eastern districts during the evening, possibly reaching gale force about western coasts. Winds easing Thursday afternoon. Areas of raised dust inland.
