Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 25/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A small low lies off the northern New South Wales coast. A high pressure system is centered to the east of Tasmania. Both systems are forecast to move east during the next few days, with the high extending a ridge towards the northern New South Wales coast. During Wednesday and Thursday a gusty cold front preceded by a rain band is expected to move through the state.
Forecast for the rest of MondayShowers along the central and north coast becoming isolated and clearing from the south. Early drizzle patches about the eastern slopes of the central and northern ranges. Some light patchy rain developing over the far southwestern inland during the afternoon or evening. Fine elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds.Tuesday 27 SeptemberPatchy rain developing in the west and extending to southeast later. Partly cloudy elsewhere. North to northwest winds freshening in the west.Wednesday 28 SeptemberFine in the far northeast. Patchy rain elsewhere increasing to rain areas in the southern inland. North to northwest winds becoming fresh to strong and gusty over the inland of a late west to southwest change in the west. North to northeast winds along the coast.Thursday 29 SeptemberMostly sunny in the far west. Patchy rain elsewhere tending to rain areas in the east and clearing from the north and central parts during the day.
