Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 25/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough over northeastern New South Wales will move offshore overnight or early Monday as a high pressure system moves over the southwestern Tasman Sea extending a ridge to the north coast. During Wednesday and Thursday a cold front preceded by a rain band is expected to move through the state.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers in the east tending scattered about central and northern parts of the coast. Isolated thunderstorms in the northeast. Mostly clear in the west. South to southeasterly winds, fresh along the coast and ranges.Monday 26 SeptemberIsolated coastal showers clearing from the south in the morning. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds.Tuesday 27 SeptemberPatchy rain developing in the west and extending to southeast later. Partly cloudy elsewhere. North to northwest winds freshening in the west.Wednesday 28 SeptemberMostly cloudy in the far northeast. Patchy rain elsewhere increasing to rain areas in the southern inland. Northwest to northeast winds freshening in the west ahead of late west to southwest change in the west.Thursday 29 SeptemberMostly sunny in the far west. Patchy rain elsewhere tending to rain areas in the east clearing from the north and central parts during the day.
