Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 24/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough lies over northeastern NSW and along the northern NSW coast with a low developing within the trough off the Mid North Coast. By Monday the low will move eastwards and a high pressure system will move over the southwestern Tasman Sea extending a ridge to the north coast. A cold front is expected to move through the state during Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers in the east tending scattered about central and northern parts of the coast. Isolated thunderstorms in the northern and central parts. Mostly sunny in the west. South to southeasterly winds, fresh along the coast and ranges.Fire Danger -  Very High on Northwest Slopes and Plains.Monday 26 SeptemberIsolated showers east of the Divide, clearing from the south later. Patchy rain developing in the far west. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds.Tuesday 27 SeptemberClearing showers on the far north coast. Patchy rain in the west extending to southeastern later. Partly cloudy elsewhere. North to northwest winds freshening in the west.Wednesday 28 SeptemberMostly cloudy in the far northeast. Patchy rain elsewhere increasing to rain areas in the southern inland. Fresh to strong north to northwest winds inland turning west to southwest in the west.
