Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 24/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight will pass to the south of Victoria on Sunday then move over the Tasman Sea on Monday. A trough of low pressure will move over South Australia later on Sunday then weaken as it moves southeastwards over Victoria on Tuesday. A low pressure system will move through the Bight on Wednesday with an associated cold front to move across Victoria.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers on and south of the ranges. Partly cloudy with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Sunday 25 SeptemberEarly frost patches inland. Isolated showers over Gippsland mostly clearing in the afternoon. Otherwise a partly cloudy day in the south and mostly sunny in the north. Light to moderate east to southeast winds with afternoon seabreezes about the Gippsland coast.Monday 26 SeptemberMostly sunny morning. Cloud increasing with patchy rain developing over western districts during the afternoon and evening. Mild to warm northerly winds freshening in the afternoon.Tuesday 27 SeptemberPartly cloudy. Isolated morning showers in the east. Isolated showers developing in western areas late in the day. Warm with fresh north to northwesterly winds.Wednesday 28 SeptemberAreas of rain and isolated thunderstorms extending eastwards. Mild day with fresh to strong northerly winds ahead of a westerly change spreading to the east at night.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Sunday.Product IDV10310
