Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 24/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough over northeastern New South Wales will deepen tonight and Sunday as an upper cold pool moves through the eastern parts of the state. By Monday the trough will move offshore and a high pressure system will move over the southwestern Tasman Sea extending a ridge to the north coast. A cold front is expected to move through the state during Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers in the eastern half tending scattered on the south and central coasts. Isolated thunderstorms in the northeast. Mostly clear elsewhere. Northwest to northeasterly winds in the northeast, southwest to southeasterly winds elsewhere.Sunday 25 SeptemberIsolated showers in the east tending scattered ear the coast, possible thunderstorms in the northern and central parts. Mostly sunny in the west. South to southeasterly winds, fresh along the coast and ranges.Fire Danger -  Very High on Northwest Slopes and Plains.Monday 26 SeptemberIsolated showers east of the Divide, clearing from the south later. Patchy rain developing in the far west. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds.Tuesday 27 SeptemberClearing showers on the far north coast. Patchy rain in the west extending to southeastern later. Partly cloudy elsewhere. North to northwest winds.Wednesday 28 SeptemberMostly cloudy in the far northeast. Patchy rain elsewhere tending rain areas in the southern inland. North to northwest winds turning west to southwest in the west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Sunday.Product IDN10031
