Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 22/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front will clear far eastern Victoria early this morning. A high pressure system approaching the Bight is moving steadily eastwards but will remain to the west of Victoria during Saturday. The high will then pass just to the south of Victoria on Sunday and will slowly move across the Tasman Sea on Monday as a trough of low pressure moves over South Australia.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers on and south of the ranges contracting to the coast during the afternoon and mostly clearing. Remaining mostly sunny in the north. Cool with fresh southwesterly winds gradually moderating during the day.Saturday 24 SeptemberEarly frost patches inland. Isolated showers on and south of the ranges contracting to the coast and Gippsland in the afternoon. Snow showers possible above 1300m. Partly cloudy. Cool with moderate to locally fresh south to southeasterly winds.Sunday 25 SeptemberEarly fog patches in the south and local frost inland. Isolated showers over Gippsland and near the Otways ranges, mostly clearing in the afternoon. Otherwise a partly cloudy day in the south and mostly sunny in the north. Light winds tending northeasterly in the afternoon and seabreezes developing about the Gippsland coast.Monday 26 SeptemberMostly sunny morning. Mild to warm northerly winds freshening in the afternoon. Cloud increasing and patchy rain developing over western districts during the afternoon and evening.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Friday.Product IDV10310
