Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 21/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the state will move slowly into the northern Tasman Sea on Thursday. A front is expected to move through southern and western parts of NSW during Friday then stall in the northeast Saturday. A southeasterly airflow will develop behind the front as a new high moves slowly eastward over Tasmania during the weekend. A trough is likely to develop inland during the weekend as an upper level trough crosses the state.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayClear. Southwest to southeast winds, fresh about the southern ranges, tending light and variable inland.Thursday 22 SeptemberMostly sunny. Early frost patches about the ranges. Very warm day in the west. Northwest winds tending northeast along the coast. Winds freshening in the southwest and along the southern and central coastFire Danger -  Very High for North Western.Friday 23 SeptemberPossible late showers about the southern coast. Mostly sunny remainder. Very warm day in northern and central areas. Northwest winds, fresh to strong about the southern ranges, ahead of a cooler southwest to southerly change in western, southern and central districts, strong and gusty along the coast.Saturday 24 SeptemberScattered showers along the coast and eastern ranges. Isolated showers over the southern inland and in the west. Mostly fine in the central north. South to southeasterly winds, fresh along the coast.Sunday 25 SeptemberScattered showers in the northeast.
