Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 19/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front is moving across the eastern New South Wales and a high pressure system over Western Australia is extending a ridge behind the front. The high will move over the western parts of the state on Wednesday and over the Tasman Sea on Thursday maintaining the ridge to the northeast. Another front is expected to move through the state during Friday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the southeast, tending scattered about the western slopes of the southern ranges. Snow showers on the higher Alps. Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the northeastern inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere. North to northwest winds ahead of a cooler, gusty west to southwest change.Wednesday 21 SeptemberMostly sunny throughout. Southwest to southeast winds tending light and variable inland.Thursday 22 SeptemberMostly sunny throughout. Northwest to northeast winds.Friday 23 SeptemberPossible isolated showers about the southeastern Victorian border, and on the South Coast. Mostly sunny remainder. A southerly change extending throughout.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Tuesday.Product IDN10031
