Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 19/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front will move through western NSW today, and through most of the remainder of the state on Tuesday, bringing windy conditions and colder temperatures. The cooler temperatures are likely to be quite short-lived, however, as the next high centre is expected to develop over New South Wales during Wednesday, with a warmer air mass bringing a return to generally fine conditions. Another cold front will move through the state on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers over the southern inland, with the chance of a few thunderstorms . Clear elsewhere. Northwest to northeasterly winds, fresh to strong and gusty over the inland and the southeast ahead of a colder south to southwesterly change in the west.Tuesday 20 SeptemberIsolated showers over the southeast, tending scattered about the western slopes of the southern ranges. Snow on the Alps. The chance of a few thunderstorms in the south, most likely about the Slopes in the afternoon. Isolated afternoon showers developing in the northeast. Fine elsewhere. North to northwest winds ahead of a cooler, gusty west to southwest change.Wednesday 21 SeptemberFine and mostly sunny. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.Thursday 22 SeptemberFine and mostly sunny. Northwest to northeast winds.Friday 23 SeptemberPossible isolated showers about the southeastern Victorian border, and on the South Coast. Mostly sunny remainder. A southerly change extending throughout.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Tuesday.Product IDN10031
