MELBOURNE - Sep 18/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
For tonight and Monday: WARNING SUMMARY: A Gale Warning is current for the Far West, West, South Central and South East Coasts with a Strong Wind Warning for Gulf Waters. Fire Weather Warning for the Northeast Pastoral. Severe Weather Warning for Monday. SOUTH AUSTRALIA: Fine today. Isolated showers developing about western coasts Monday morning then extending over the agricultural area by mid afternoon. Showers becoming scattered about the southern agricultural area during the afternoon and evening. Isolated thunderstorms are possible over western and southern coastal areas. Hot in the north and west, mild to warm elsewhere with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, freshening in the west today ahead of a milder, fresh to strong and gusty southwesterly change in the far west late evening then. Northerly winds becoming fresh to strong over central and eastern parts during Monday morning ahead of the change. Areas of raised dust in the Northeast Pastoral ahead of and with the change.
