Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 16/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system lies over central Queensland, extending a ridge over northern New South Wales. During Saturday and Sunday a weak cold front will move across the southern parts of the state as the high moves over the northern Tasman Sea. Another cold front is expected to move through the state later on Monday or Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayPartly cloudy in southern, central and southeastern parts. Mostly clear elsewhere. Southwest to northwest winds tending east to northeast on the coast.Saturday 17 SeptemberMostly sunny. Northwest winds freshening in the west ahead of a late southwesterly change. Local afternoon sea breezes on the north coast.Fire Danger -  Very High in the Far Western and North Western Fire Areas.Sunday 18 SeptemberThe chance of early morning showers on the far southern ranges. Sunny otherwise. Northwest winds ahead of a southwest to southeast change in the south and along the coast.Monday 19 SeptemberIsolated late showers in the southeastern inland. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Fresh northwest to northeasterly winds ahead of a late southwesterly change in the far south and west.Tuesday 20 SeptemberIsolated showers in the southeastern inland contracting to the Alpine area. Isolated afternoon showers in the northeast. Fine elsewhere. North to northwest winds ahead of a west to southwest change spreading northeastwards.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Saturday.Product IDN10031
