Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 14/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure ridge will persist about the continent for the rest of the week. A weak cold front will cross Bass Strait on Friday then a stronger cold front is expected to cross Victoria on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers in the south, clearing. Fine in the north. Light to moderate west to southwesterly winds.Thursday 15 SeptemberIsolated showers about the coast, fine elsewhere. Morning frost and fogs, mainly in the north. Cool to mild and mostly sunny with light to moderate westerly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes in Gippsland.Friday 16 SeptemberFine and partly cloudy with isolated showers possible near the coast. Morning fog and frost patches then a mild day with light to moderate northwest winds gradually tending southwesterly.Saturday 17 SeptemberFine at first with warm north to northwesterly winds strengthening. A cool, gusty west to southwesterly change developing from the west in the early afternoon and extending to the east at night. Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms developing with the change and scattered showers following near the coast.Sunday 18 SeptemberFine apart from isolated morning showers about the Gippsland coast. Cool to mild and mostly sunny with light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Thursday.Product IDV10310
