Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 12/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system near Adelaide extends a ridge across NSW. The high will move northeast today as a cold front approaches western Victoria, the front is expected to cross Victoria and southeastern NSW tomorrow. The high, centred over southeast Queensland or the northern Tasman Sea will then extend a ridge to the south, over NSW, for the remainder of the week.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayEarly frost areas and isolated fog patches about the ranges, western slopes and southern inland. Isolated early showers on the far north coast. Sunny over most of the remainder. Light to moderate west to northwest winds, locally fresh in the southeast. Afternoon coastal sea breezes.Wednesday 14 SeptemberIsolated showers developing along the Victorian border regions with the chance of snow on the higher Alps. Northwesterly winds ahead of a southwesterly change in the south during the afternoon and evening. Afternoon sea breezes on the north coast.Thursday 15 SeptemberThe chance of isolated early showers or snow about the Alps, and isolated showers extending northwards along the southern half of the coast. Mostly light winds in the west and northwest to southwest winds in the east turning southerly along the southern half of the coast.Friday 16 SeptemberChance of isolated showers about the Alps and the eastern Victorian border. Light variable winds in the northeast. North to northwest winds elsewhere.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Tuesday.Product IDN10031
