Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 12/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight will drift well to the north of Victoria on Tuesday and Wednesday. A cold front will cross waters south of the Bight on Tuesday and will be weakening by the time it crosses southern Victoria on Wednesday. A high pressure ridge will then move across northern Victoria on Thursday before another weak cold front crosses Victoria on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers in the south, contracting to the southwest coast. Clear in the north with winds becoming light but cloud areas persisting in the southwest with moderate west to northwest wind.Tuesday 13 SeptemberFine apart from early morning fog patches in the north and the chance of a light shower about the southwest coast. Morning frosts in the north. A cool to mild and mostly sunny day although some cloud persisting in the southwest. Light to moderate northwesterly winds, freshening in the south.Wednesday 14 SeptemberIsolated showers extending over southern and mountain districts. Snow showers on the higher Alpine peaks. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh west to northwesterly winds shifting southwesterly then easing.Thursday 15 SeptemberIsolated showers in the far east and about the coast, clearing to a fine afternoon. Local early fogs in the north. Cool to mild and mostly sunny with light to moderate westerly winds and afternoon seabreezes about the Gippsland coast.Friday 16 SeptemberIsolated showers developing over southern and mountain districts. Mild to warm with moderate to locally fresh northwest wind, tending southwesterly from the west during the afternoon.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Tuesday.Product IDV10310
