Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 10/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front embedded in a southwesterly airflow will cross Victoria during Sunday. A high pressure system south of Western Australia will move slowly eastwards to be located over New South Wales by Tuesday. Another cold front will reach southwestern Victoria late Tuesday then cross the State on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayScattered showers over southern and mountain districts, isolated showers elsewhere until evening. Showers falling as snow above 1400 metres. Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, strong about the coast.Sunday 11 SeptemberScattered showers in southern and mountain areas and isolated showers in the north although clearing from the southwest during the afternoon. Snowfalls lowering to 1000 metres over the southeast. Cool to cold with moderate to fresh south to southwest winds, strong about the coast.Monday 12 SeptemberWidespread morning frosts inland. Isolated showers near the coast and developing over the southwest. Cool with light to moderate west to northwesterly winds.Tuesday 13 SeptemberFine apart from isolated showers about the southwest in the evening. Morning frost patches then a cool to mild day with freshening northwesterly winds.Wednesday 14 SeptemberScattered showers in southern and mountain districts, isolated showers in the north, although remaining fine in the far northwest. Snowfalls about alpine areas. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh west to northwesterly winds shifting southwesterly then easing.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Sunday.Product IDV10310
