Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 10/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure system with an associated trough in the Tasman Sea is deepening. The low will move rapidly towards New Zealand during today as a strong high pressure system moves into the Bight extending a ridge to the northern Tasman Sea. The high is expected to move over southeastern Australia by Monday strengthening the ridge across the state.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers in the southern inland with snow showers on the Alps and possibly on the higher parts of the southern tablelands in the morning. Possible isolated morning showers about the Hunter district. Partly cloudy in most other parts. Sunny in the northwest. Fresh and cool to cold southwesterly winds.Sunday 11 SeptemberIsolated showers in the southern half of the state, mostly about the southwest slopes. Partly cloudy elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds.Monday 12 SeptemberIsolated showers on the north and central coasts. Mostly sunny elsewhere. South to southwest winds.Tuesday 13 SeptemberThe chance of showers on the far north coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds in the far northeast, west to northwest winds elsewhere.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Saturday.Product IDN10031
