Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 6/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front is moving through western and southern NSW and is expected to stagnate into a trough over the east on Wednesday and Thursday while an upper cold pool passes over the state. Another front is expected to move through the state on Thursday and Friday. A low is likely to form east of the South Coast on Saturday, with a vigorous cold outbreak over the state Friday/Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayRain areas and isolated thunderstorms in the west and south, extending to central districts tonight and easing to showers. Snow showers developing on the Alps. Fine and mostly clear in the northeast. Fresh to strong north to northwest winds ahead of a gusty west to southwest change in the west and southWednesday 7 SeptemberIsolated showers in the northeast and northern inland. Isolated early morning showers on the central coast, clearing. Isolated afternoon thunderstorms in the northeast, more likely about the ranges. Fine to the west. Mostly southwest to southeast winds, tending northwest to northeasterly in the northeast.Thursday 8 SeptemberIsolated showers, contracting east and becoming scattered in eastern and northern districts. Generally light and variable winds, with afternoon coastal sea breezes.Friday 9 SeptemberScattered showers in the east, tending isolated in the central west and southwest. Fine in the far northwest. North to northwesterly winds ahead of a west to southwesterly change through most western and southern districts.Saturday 10 SeptemberIsolated showers in the eastern half of the state, contracting eastwards during the day.
