Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 3/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving, strong high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the New South Wales north coast and a weak cold is moving across the southwest and weakening further. A stronger front is expected to move through the state on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayThe chance of showers on the far north coast. Isolated showers or patchy rain developing in the southwest and extending through southern districts. Possible thunderstorms over the southern inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northwest to northeasterly winds ahead of a west to southwesterly change in the southwest.Monday 5 SeptemberThe chance of showers in the south, and on the far north coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Northeast to northwest winds.Tuesday 6 SeptemberPartly cloudy in the northeast with the chance of showers on the far north coast. Isolated showers elsewhere, tending scattered about the southern inland. Northerly winds ahead of a gusty south to southwest change in the west.Wednesday 7 SeptemberIsolated showers in the east, tending scattered about the south west slopes.
