Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 2/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving, strong high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea extends a ridge to New South Wales north coast and a weak cold front will move through the southwest later today. Another, stronger front is expected to move through the state Wednesday/Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers on the north coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Early frost patches on the ranges and isolated early fog patches in the east. North to northeasterly winds, freshening in the far west and on the south coast.Sunday 4 SeptemberIsolated showers in the far north coast. Isolated showers or patchy rain developing in the southwest and extending through southern districts. Possible thunderstorms over the southern inland. Partly cloudy in the remainder. Northwest to northeasterly winds ahead of a brief west to southwesterly change in the southwest.Monday 5 SeptemberThe chance of showers in the south and isolated showers on the far north coast. Mostly sunny in the remainder. Northeast to northwest winds.Tuesday 6 SeptemberPartly cloudy in the northeast. Isolated showers elsewhere tending scattered in the southeast. Northerly winds ahead of a gusty south to southwest change in the west and southeast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Saturday.Product IDN10031
