Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 2/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system just east of Tasmania will move over the Tasman Sea during the weekend where it will remain until early next week. A weakening cold front will cross Victoria on Sunday with a stronger front expected to approach the west on Monday before affecting the State on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayFine. Light to moderate north to northeasterly, fresh at times in the west.Saturday 3 SeptemberFine after early fog patches in Gippsland. A mild and mostly sunny day with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds, strong at times over the southwest and about the ranges.Sunday 4 SeptemberScattered showers extending across the State from the west, tending to rain in the southwest and northeast ranges, tending to isolated showers in the west later. Mild with fresh to strong northerly winds tending westerly.Monday 5 SeptemberMorning fog patches. Isolated showers over central and eastern districts during the afternoon, mainly during the afternoon. Mild with light winds tending moderate northerly. Afternoon seabreezes along the Gippsland coast.Tuesday 6 SeptemberIsolated showers at first but areas of rain extending from the west before tending to isolated showers in the west later. Mild with fresh northerly winds shifting cooler west to southwesterly.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Saturday.Product IDV10310
