Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 1/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over Tasmania will move over the Tasman Sea tonight where it will remain until early next week. A weakening cold front will cross Victoria on Sunday with a stronger front expected to approach the west on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayFine apart from morning fog patches in the south. Early frost patches in the north then a cool to mild day with light winds tending moderate north to northeasterly, fresh at times in the west. Afternoon seabreezes along the Gippsland coast.Saturday 3 SeptemberA mild and mostly sunny day with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds, strong at times over the southwest and about the ranges.Sunday 4 SeptemberA band of patchy rain extending across the State from the west, clearing to isolated showers in the west later. Isolated thunderstorms possible about the northeast ranges. Mild with fresh to strong northerly winds shifting cooler westerly.Monday 5 SeptemberMorning fog patches. Patchy rain in the east clearing early morning, but isolated showers developing over central and eastern districts during the afternoon. Mild with light winds tending moderate northerly. Afternoon seabreezes along the Gippsland coast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Friday.Product IDV10310
