Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 28/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front is expected to cross much of NSW during Monday with isolated showers possible for most southern districts and a fresh to strong southerly change for the south coast. A high pressure ridge is then expected to extend across southern and central parts of the state with generally fine conditions expected apart from a few showers on the north coast. Later in the week another frontal system will affect the coast before a high moves into the Tasman Sea.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers in the far southeast, possibly extending to the Illawarra coast in the evening. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. West to northwest winds ahead of a cooler south to southwest change in the west and south.Tuesday 30 AugustIsolated showers on the north coast, possibly extending to the central coast and northern ranges at first, then contracting north. Southwest to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 31 AugustPossible isolated showers on the north coast. Fine in the remainder. Southwest to southeasterly winds.Thursday 1 SeptemberPossible isolated coastal showers north from about the Illawarra coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Mostly southwest to southeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Monday.Product IDN10031
