Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 26/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak high pressure ridge lies over central NSW and a weak trough is expected to affect the south coast today. A low pressure trough will deepen over the northern inland today in response to an approaching upper-level feature, bringing unsettled conditions to the northeast over the weekend. A cold front is expected to cross the state on Monday with a high pressure system to follow.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayRain areas in the northeast, moderate to heavy at times about the western slopes of the ranges with possible thunderstorms. Possible afternoon showers in the southeast. Morning fog areas about the central and southern parts of the coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. East to northeasterly winds in the northeast, and southwest to southeasterly winds elsewhere.Sunday 28 AugustScattered showers about the northern coast and ranges, possibly extending to the northwest slopes at first but then easing and contracting towards the northeast. Isolated showers on the south coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Generally light winds.Monday 29 AugustIsolated showers on the north coast and in the far southeast. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. West to northwest winds ahead of a cooler south to southwest change.Tuesday 30 AugustIsolated showers on the north coast, possibly extending to the central coast and northern ranges at first, then contracting north.
