Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 21/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong slow-moving high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea extends a ridge to northwestern New South Wales and a low pressure trough lies over the northern Tasman Sea. A weak cold front is expected to move across the state on Friday as the high moves towards New Zealand.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers along the central and northern coasts and adjacent ranges, clearing from the central coast and increasing to scattered to widespread in the north during the afternoon and evening. Mostly sunny remainder. Southeast to northeast winds. Dangerous surf in the far north.Tuesday 23 AugustShowers about the northern half of the coast and adjacent ranges, scattered to widespread in the far north, but isolated over the remainder. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds. Dangerous surf in the far northWednesday 24 AugustIsolated showers about the north coast and on the adjacent ranges tending scattered on the far north coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
