Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 20/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large high pressure system centred east of Tasmania extends a ridge westwards to the Bight and will move very slowly eastwards across the Tasman Sea during the week. A cold front will approach from the west on Tuesday, but weaken and slide away to the southeast on Tuesday night. A stronger cold front will reach the Bight late Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine after morning fog patches inland and early frost in the northeast. A cool to mild and mostly sunny day apart from some cloud in the southwest. Chiefly light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Monday 22 AugustFine apart from morning fog patches in the east. Early frosts then a mild and mainly sunny day with light winds tending moderate northerly in the west. Afternoon coastal seabreezes.Tuesday 23 AugustFine apart from morning fog patches in the east. Cool to mild and mostly sunny with moderate northerly winds, lighter in the east with afternoon seabreezes.Wednesday 24 AugustFine apart from morning fog and frost patches, mainly in the east.
