Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 19/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over Tasmania will be centred just east of Tasmania during Sunday and Monday, then will move slowly eastwards over the Tasman Sea. A cold front will approach from the west Tuesday but will weaken and slide away to the southeast Tuesday night.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers or drizzle in the far southeast. Fine elsewhere apart from local morning fog. Partly cloudy over East Gippsland and over the far west during the afternoon, but mostly sunny elsewhere. A cool to mild day with generally light winds.Sunday 21 AugustFine after morning fog patches. A cool to mild and mostly sunny day with chiefly light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Monday 22 AugustFine apart from morning fog patches in the east. Early frosts then a mild and mainly sunny day with light winds tending moderate northerly in the west. Afternoon coastal seabreezes.Tuesday 23 AugustFine apart from morning fog patches in the east. Cool to mild and mostly sunny with moderate northerly winds, lighter in the east with afternoon seabreezes.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Saturday.Product IDV10310
