Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 18/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure system centred off the central New South Wales will move away to the northeast during Saturday. Meanwhile, a high pressure system over the Bight will pass to the south of Victoria during Saturday before strengthening to the east of Tasmania during Sunday and early next week.
Forecast for the rest of FridayLocal morning fog. Isolated showers and drizzle patches over the northwest clearing late afternoon. Scattered showers and drizzle patches in the south. Fine and becoming mostly sunny over the northeast. Cool to mild with moderate to locally fresh south to southeasterly winds.Saturday 20 AugustIsolated showers in the far southeast clearing. Fine elsewhere after early fogs. Mostly sunny over the north, but partly cloudy in the south. Cool to mild with generally light winds.Sunday 21 AugustFine after morning fog patches. A cool to mild and mostly sunny day with chiefly light winds.Monday 22 AugustFine after morning fog patches.
