Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 12/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of the Bight is moving slowly east. By Sunday the high will move southeast of Tasmania extending a ridge to New South Wales north coast and then it will become semi-stationary there until Tuesday maintaining the ridge to the north coast. During Wednesday and Thursday a cold front is expected to move through the state as the high moves east and weakens.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers along the coast and the adjacent ranges, tending scattered on the central coast. Southwest to southeast winds, fresh along the northern coast.Saturday 13 AugustIsolated showers along the northern and central coast and the chance of isolated showers in the far west. Fine elsewhere. Morning fog areas inland and frosts about the ranges and slopes. South to southeasterly winds along the coast and light variable winds inland.Sunday 14 AugustIsolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges, possibly extending to the western slopes. Morning fog areas over the inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds.Monday 15 AugustIsolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges and isolated showers developing over the southern inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Mostly light and variable winds.Tuesday 16 AugustIsolated showers along the northern coast and isolated showers over the southern and central inland.
