Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 31/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure system over the central Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the New South Wales north coast. Cold fronts over the Southern Ocean are weakening as they approach southeastern Australia and slipping to the south of Tasmania. This pattern is expected to persist through the week.
Forecast for the rest of MondayMorning frost and fog patches inland. Mostly sunny day. Light to moderate winds, chiefly northwesterly.Tuesday 2 AugustIsolated showers on the western slopes of the southern ranges. Mostly sunny remainder. Early frost and fog. Light to moderate wind, chiefly northwesterly.Wednesday 3 AugustEarly fog and frost patches inland. Mostly sunny day. Light to moderate north to northwest winds.Thursday 4 AugustEarly fog and frost patches inland. Isolated showers developing in the southwest during the day. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
