Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 26/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system near Adelaide will move across Victoria during Wednesday. The high should then move over eastern New South Wales on Thursday and then move slowly over the Tasman Sea on Friday and Saturday. A cold front will approach western Victoria later on Friday, weakening as it moves across Tasmania later on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers in southern and mountain areas, contracting to Gippsland in the evening and clearing overnight. Snow falls above 1200 metres. Fine over the northern plains. Generally light southwesterly winds.Wednesday 27 JulyMorning fog and frost, locally severe in the northeast. A fine and mostly sunny day to follow. Cool to mild with generally light wind.Thursday 28 JulyLocal morning fog and frost patches in the east. A fine, cool to mild day with patchy high cloud in the west. Moderate to locally fresh northerly winds.Friday 29 JulyPatchy rain developing at night in the west. Fine over the remainder with moderate northerly winds. Mild day.Saturday 30 JulyPatchy rain spreading to most districts, but clearing later in the west. Generally mild day with moderate northerly winds shifting westerly later in the west.
