For the latest warning information please check the Bureau's web site www.bom.gov.au/qld Weather Situation A high south of Tasmania extends a ridge north into western Queensland. A intense double centred depression occurs of the N.S.W coast. The high is expected to move southeast slowly and weaken while the depression will remain stationary. Forecast for the rest of Thursday Dry throughout the state, early frost patches over the interior. Strong SE winds over the southern Gulf this morning, moderate to fresh SE winds across the tropics generally. Light to moderate SW/SE winds over the remainder, increasing to strong W to SW winds over the southeast region later today. This will lead to isolated showers about the coast. Dry over the remainder of the state with extensive early frost inland but contracting from the north. Outlook for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Monday, easterly flow develops across the tropics as a new high enters S.A. This will increase the showers about the northeast tropical coast. Isolated showers also developing about exposed points of the remainder of the east coast. Strong SE winds returning over the northeast tropics. Early frost continuing to contract south. Tuesday, showers occurring about most of the east coast, dry over the interior with less frost.
