southern districts. Very isolated showers about Cape York Peninsula and possible
morning drizzle about the Granite Belt. Strong SE winds continuing over the
tropics and strong SW winds developing on the southeast coast.

near stationary. Isolated showers to remain about Cape York Peninsula. Dry over
the remainder of the state with extensive early frost over the interior
including the southern tropics. Strong SW winds persist on the southeast coast.
Forecast for Friday
The low pressure system moves slowly east into the Tasman Sea with the
southern high weakening. Winds turn more southerly on the southeast coast but
remain strong. Fine throughout with extensive early frost inland including the
southern tropics.

As the low moves further east, coastal winds start to shift SE'ly. Strong
S'ly winds persisting off the southeast coast. Again fine throughout the state
with widespread early frost over the interior.

over the interior. Monday, winds ease further with increasing showers about the
east coast as moisture levels continue to build. The early frost area starts to
contract over the interior. Tuesday, showers continue to increase over the

the interior with decreasing early frost.
