Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 14/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system will move eastwards across Bass Strait during Thursday night and Friday, to be located just east of Tasmania during the weekend. A cold front will approach Victoria from the west later on Sunday before weakening over western Victoria on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers in the south clearing this evening. Fine on the north. Light to moderate southeast to southwesterly wind.Friday 15 JulyFine after widespread early frost and morning fog patches. A cool and mostly sunny day with light to moderate east to southeasterly winds.Saturday 16 JulyA fine and mostly sunny day after morning fog and frost patches. Cloud increasing in the north with isolated showers developing in the far northwest at night. A cool day with light to moderate northeasterly winds.Sunday 17 JulyPatchy rain extending from the northwest to affect remaining western and central areas. Isolated showers developing over the northeast but fine in East Gippsland. A cool and mostly cloudy day with a freshening northerly wind.Monday 18 JulyPatchy rain contracting eastwards with isolated showers to follow. A cool and mostly cloudy day with generally light winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Friday.Product IDV10310
