Weather Situation A a high pressure system southeast of the Bight is slowly moving east strengthening a ridge across New South Wales. On Saturday the high will move east of Tasmania and a low pressure trough is expected to develop over the western parts of the state Forecast for the rest of WednesdayLight rain developing in the west and extending to western slopes of the southern and central ranges. Snow showers on the higher Alps. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds, fresh and gusty at times in the southeast.Thursday 14 JulyPatchy rain in the west. Isolated showers along the northern half of the coast. Partly cloudy remainder. East to southeasterly winds.Friday 15 JulyPatchy rain along the northern border and isolated coastal showers. Partly cloudy elsewhere. East to southeast winds.Saturday 16 JulyShowers or rain areas over of much of the state, most likely over the northern inland and along the central and northern coasts.
