Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 11/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A vigorous west to southwesterly airstream persists over Bass Strait while the next high pressure system is south of the Bight. The high pressure system will move slowly eastwards towards Adelaide today while a cold front crosses Tasmania later in the day. During Wednesday the high pressure system will move south of Adelaide before moving over Victoria on Thursday, then to just east of Tasmania on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers over southern and mountain areas, more widespread near the coast and northeast ranges. The chance of showers inland during the afternoon. Cool and mostly cloudy with moderate westerly winds, fresh at times near the coast.Wednesday 13 JulyScattered showers in southern and mountain districts, mainly near the coast and eastern ranges, becoming isolated and contracting to the coast later. Fine in the north. Cool and mostly cloudy with moderate to fresh west to southwest winds easing in the west.Thursday 14 JulyIsolated showers near the coast clearing during the day. The chance of isolated showers over the far northwest. Early fog and frost patches inland. A cool and partly cloudy day with a light to moderate southeast to southwesterly wind.Friday 15 JulyFine after morning fog and frost patches. A cool and mostly sunny day with light to moderate east to northeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Tuesday.Product IDV10310
