Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 9/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong cold front will cross southeast NSW late Sunday. Winds will strengthen in the east during Sunday ahead of this system, locally reaching gale force in the southeast. A high south of Western Australia will move east early next week and extend a ridge across western and northern NSW as weaker fronts pass over Tasmania and Bass Strait and into the southern Tasman Sea.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers about the southern inland, tending scattered on the western slopes of the southern ranges. Snow on the Alps. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Fresh to strong west to southwesterly winds, reaching gale force in the southeast. Dangerous surf conditions.Monday 11 JulyPossible showers on the western slopes of the southern ranges, more likely near Victorian border. Possible snow on the Alps. Morning frost and fog. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwesterly winds easing. Dangerous surf conditions.Tuesday 12 JulyPossible showers on the western slopes of the far southern ranges. Morning frost. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Northwest to southwest winds, tending light and variable in the west.Wednesday 13 JulyPossible showers on the western slopes of the far southern ranges and in the northwest. Fine elsewhere.
