MELBOURNE - Jul 8/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation Over the course of the next few days, a slow-moving, strong high pressure system centred southwest of the Bight will maintain a ridge across western and northeastern New South Wales while a series of cold fronts will move through the southeast. Early next week the high is expected to move over central Australia strengthening the ridge across the state. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers on the western slopes of the far southern ranges. Snow showers on the Alps. Clear elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds, fresh and gusty in the southeast.Saturday 9 JulyIsolated showers on the western slopes of the southern ranges. Snow showers on the Alps. Morning frost and fog. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to southwest winds, fresh to strong and gusty in the southeast.Sunday 10 JulyIsolated showers about the southeastern inland, tending scattered on the western slopes of the southern ranges. Snow on the Alps. Morning frost and fog. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Fresh to strong west to southwesterly winds, squally about the southern half of the ranges.Monday 11 JulyPossible showers on the western slopes of the southern ranges, more likely near Victorian border.
