Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 6/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving, strong high pressure system southwest of the Bight is extending a ridge across western and northeastern New South Wales while a cold fronts are moving through the southeast. During Monday the high is expected to move over the western parts of the state.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers about the western slopes of the southern and central ranges, possible extending to the northwest slopes. Snow above about 900 metres in the south. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds, fresh and gusty in the east.Friday 8 JulyIsolated showers on the western slopes of the southern ranges. Snow on the Alps. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds, fresh and gusty in the southeast.Saturday 9 JulyIsolated showers on the western slopes of the southern ranges. Snow showers on the Alps. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to southwest winds, fresh to strong and gusty in the southeast.Sunday 10 JulyIsolated showers about the southeastern inland, tending scattered on the western slopes of the southern ranges. Snow on the Alps. Fresh to strong west to southwesterly winds, squally about the southern half of the ranges.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Thursday.Product IDN10031
