MELBOURNE - Jul 6/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A series of cold fronts is moving through the southeast of state from now to Sunday, maintaining windy conditions there. A high south of West Australia extends a ridge towards Queensland, and is moving very slowly northeast. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers in the southern inland tending scattered on the western slopes of the southern and central ranges. Snow above about 1200 metres, heavy at times about the higher Alps. Mostly sunny remainder. Fresh to strong westerly winds, squally about the southern and central ranges.Thursday 7 JulyIsolated showers about the western slopes of the southern ranges with snow above about 900 metres in the south and on the higher parts of the Central Tablelands. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds, fresh and gusty in the east.Friday 8 JulyIsolated showers on the western slopes of the southern ranges, falling as snow on the Alpine areas. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds, fresh and gusty in the southeast.Saturday 9 JulyIsolated showers on the western slopes of the southern ranges, falling as snow on the Alpine areas. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to southwest winds, fresh to strong and gusty in the southeast.Sunday 10 JulyIsolated showers about the southeastern inland, tending scattered on the western slopes of the southern ranges.
