Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 29/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large high pressure system east of Bass Strait will gradually move eastwards across the Tasman Sea to reach New Zealand on Saturday. A low pressure system will develop south of Western Australia on Saturday and reach the Bight on Sunday and an associated trough will cross Victoria on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayFine and clear. Light to moderate north to northeasterly wind.Thursday 30 JuneMorning frost and fog patches in the east. A cool to mild and mostly sunny day although high cloud increasing from the west. Light to moderate northerly wind, fresh at times over western and central areas.Friday 1 JulyLocal early fog patches in the east then a fine, cool to mild and partly cloudy day. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, lighter in the east.Saturday 2 JulyPatchy rain developing in the west and extending to central districts by the evening. Rain then becoming more extensive in the west at night. Remaining fine in the east after isolated early fogs. A cool to mild day with moderate to fresh northerly winds, strong at times over central and southwestern areas.Sunday 3 JulyAreas of rain, easing to isolated showers in the west during the afternoon. Cool and cloudy with moderate to fresh northwesterly winds, stronger about the ranges.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Thursday.Product IDV10310
