MELBOURNE - Jun 27/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system centred near Adelaide is drifting slowly southeastwards and will be centred over Victoria on Tuesday. The high will reach the Tasman Sea on Wednesday and will remain the dominant influence on Victoria's weather through until at least Friday. Forecast for the rest of MondayFine apart from isolated light showers near the coast. Light to moderate South to southwesterly winds.Tuesday 28 JuneFine after morning frost and fog areas. A mild and mainly sunny day with light wind tending east to southeasterly.Wednesday 29 JuneMorning fog and frost, mainly over the eastern half of the state, then a fine, mild and mostly sunny day. Light and variable winds over the east, but moderate northeast to northerly winds developing elsewhere.Thursday 30 JuneMorning frost and fog patches in the east. A mild day with cloud increasing from the west with a little patchy rain developing in the far southwest. Light to moderate northerly wind, freshening over western and central areas.Friday 1 JulyIsolated early morning fog in the east. Patchy rain over the west.
