MELBOURNE - Jun 26/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A weak cold front over southwest Victoria will cross the remainder of southern Victoria Sunday evening. The next high pressure system over Bight waters will move over western Victoria on Monday before slowly crossing eastern Victoria on Tuesday then moving to the east of Bass Strait on Wednesday to reach the central Tasman Sea by Thursday. Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers in the south but remaining dry in the north and far east. Partly cloudy with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds easing and tending westerly.Monday 27 JuneIsolated light showers in the south, mostly near the coast. Morning frost and fog patches, mainly in the north and west. A cool to mild day, becoming mostly sunny over the north. Light to moderate westerly winds in the south, tending light southerly in the north.Tuesday 28 JuneFine after morning frost and fog areas. A cool to mild and mainly sunny day with light wind tending northerly.Wednesday 29 JuneEarly frost and fog patches in the east then a fine, cool to mild and mostly sunny day. Light to moderate northeast to northerly wind.Thursday 30 JuneEarly frost and fog patches in the east. A cool to mild day with cloud increasing and a little patchy rain developing in the far west.
