Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 10/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low over the central Tasman Sea is moving eastwards. A strong, slow-moving high south of the Bight will extend a ridge over southern NSW for the weekend. In the northeast of the state a trough is expected to develop and then deepen. This trough is expected to remain in place for most of next week and widespread rain, with some heavy falls, along the northern coast and adjacent inland and fresh to strong gusty easterly winds are expected there from later tomorrow until at least mid week. Later in the week this trough may move further southwards. A low is likely to develop within this trough at some stage during this period.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday
Scattered showers along the central coast extending to the northern coast and ranges during the morning and to the adjacent northern inland during the afternoon and evening. Isolated showers about the southern half of the coast. South to southeasterly winds, fresh about the coast and northern and central ranges.
Sunday 12 JuneRain areas in the northeast, with moderate to heavy falls developing. Showers over the the northern inland and the southeast. Fine in the southwest. South to southeast winds.Monday 13 JuneRain over the northeastern third of the state, heavy at times. Showers over the northwest and southeast with some snow possible on the Alpine peaks. Fine in the southwest. South to southeast winds.Tuesday 14 JuneRain northeast of a line from about Nowra to Bourke, with heavy falls about the north coast and Hunter districts. Fine in the southwest. Showers elsewhere. South to southeast winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Saturday.Product IDN10031
