Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 4/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak high pressure ridge lies over Queensland and will continue there until Monday. A cold front will move through much of NSW today, and through the northeast on Sunday. Another cold front will move through the state early next week.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers about southern and central districts, more frequent about the western slopes of the ranges. Snow showers about the Alpine peaks. Fine elsewhere. West to northwest winds ahead of a west to southwest change in the south and west. Winds fresh about the Tablelands. Dangerous surf conditions contracting to the south.Sunday 5 JunePossible isolated showers through central and southern inland parts, more likely about the western slopes of the southern ranges and falling as snow on the Alps above about 1400 metres. Morning fog areas, particularly for the southern and central inland. Fine elsewhere. Northwest to southwest winds, becoming fresh to strong about the southern ranges later.Monday 6 JuneIsolated showers over the southern and central parts, more likely over the southwestern slopes and falling as snow on the Alps. Frost areas on the ranges and slopes. Partly cloudy elsewhere West to southwest winds, strong and gusty about the ranges, possibly reaching gale force on the higher peaks of the Alps.Tuesday 7 JunePossible showers over the southern parts, falling as snow on the Alps. Early frost areas. Partly cloudy elsewhere West to northwest winds.Wednesday 8 JuneIsolated showers about eastern and central districts, particularly the western slopes of the southern ranges. Fine on the north coast and in the far west. West to southwest winds, strong and gusty in the east.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Sunday.Product IDN10031
