Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 27/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system centred just east of Tasmania will move slowly eastwards during the week then cross New Zealand on Saturday. A weakening cold front will reach western Victoria later Saturday before crossing Victoria during Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers developing over far east Gippsland overnight, otherwise a clear night. Light to moderate east to northeasterly winds, fresh at times near the coast.Thursday 28 AprilIsolated showers over the far east and morning fog patches in the south and east, otherwise a mild and sunny day. Light to moderate northeasterly winds with local seabreezes near the coast.Friday 29 AprilFine apart from morning fog patches in the east. A mild day with increasing high cloud. Light to moderate northerly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes in Gippsland.Saturday 30 AprilPatchy rain developing over the southwest. Otherwise a mild and mostly cloudy day with light northerly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes in Gippsland.Sunday 1 MayPatchy rain over the west extending to central districts in the afternoon and evening. Mostly cloudy in the east. Mild northerly winds turning cooler west to southwesterly from the west during the day.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Thursday.Product IDV10310
