MELBOURNE - Apr 22/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front is crossing the southern Tasman Sea and a high pressure system near the Bight extends a ridge behind it to southeastern New South Wales. The high is moving slowly east and it is expected to move over the southwestern Tasman Sea by Sunday and then to become semi-stationary maintaining the ridge to the far north coast. A few cold fronts will pass across the southern Tasman Sea over the forecast period but they should have a little effect on the weather across the state. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers in the far southeast and on the far north coast with possible thunderstorms. Isolated showers developing on the central coast tonight. Partly cloudy in the remainder. West to southwest winds and local sea breezes on the northern coast.Saturday 23 AprilIsolated showers on the north and central coasts possible extending to the adjacent ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds.Sunday 24 AprilIsolated showers on the north and central coasts possibly extending to the adjacent ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
