MELBOURNE - Apr 21/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation An upper level trough is moving through southeastern New South Wales and a high pressure system is moving south of the Bight extending a ridge to the northeast of the state. The high is expected to move over the southwestern Tasman Sea by Sunday and then to become semi-stationary. A few cold fronts will pass across the southern Tasman Sea over the forecast period but they should have a little on the weather. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers in the east, mostly in the northeast and over the western sloes of the southern ranges. The chance of thunderstorms over the northeast. Northwest to southwest winds.Friday 22 AprilIsolated showers near the southern border and on the central coast. Mostly sunny in the northern inland and partly cloudy in the remainder. West to southwest winds and local sea breezes on the northern coast.Saturday 23 AprilIsolated showers on the north and central coasts. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds.Sunday 24 AprilIsolated showers on the north and central coasts possibly extending to the adjacent ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
